POSITION: Full Time Substance Abuse Counselor
LOCATION: Greenville, SC
SCHEDULE:  Monday thru Friday 5:00 am -1:30pm and Saturday 6:00a-9:00am (Rotating with other counselors- Not every Saturday)
DESCRIPTION:   Colonial Management Group, LP (CMG) operates a number of nationally recognized and accredited methadone treatment centers dedicated to helping individuals with prescription drug abuse and opiate addiction regain control of their lives. We take great pride in treating our patients with dignity and respect in each phase of their treatment experience.  
  • Design treatment and rehabilitation programs by using knowledge of alcohol and drug dependency and counseling, while tailoring the process based on patient's needs.
  • Modify treatments by maintaining case history and progress notes while observing their patients.  
  • Restore patients to productive roles by educating them about available community-based organizations, social and employment services.  
  • Provide direct care in determining patient's status and issues by interviewing them, obtaining personal information and medical history.
  • Actively participates in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF, the State, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and any other agency site visits as dictated by the state law or regulations.    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field.
  • In process or certified with SCAADAC.
  • Certification in Addiction/Substance Abuse preferred.  
  • Some experience in the substance abuse field preferred.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. 
You must be in the process with SCADAC as CAC-I or CAC-II or certified through NAADAC as a NCAC-I, NCAC-II or MAC. If not in process, must be willing to get in process, and must possess minimum, of a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field. Prefer at least 1-year experience with substance abuse.
